FAQ

The process of creating your website is divided into 4 major areas:

  • Content development
  • Site organization
  • Graphic design
  • Programming functionality

Content Development

Before design and programming can begin, content for your website must be developed. This includes all the material that will be included in your website (text, images, sound, video, etc.). In principle, preparing the content for your website is not unlike preparing a sales brochure or a marketing campaign. The commitment to preparing these materials in a timely fashion is crucial to the fulfillment of the project's goals and deadlines.

Although content is usually developed by the client, there are several things we will do to manage this process:

  • E.S.P. will liaise with the appropriate staff in your organization to review existing content material;
  • E.S.P. will help you determine what new content needs to be generated and who needs to generate it;
  • E.S.P. will help you determine what existing content requires digital conversion. All content materials to be included in the website must be prepared in electronic form.

Site Organization

Developing the organization or structure for your website is analogous to creating an outline for a paper or a table of contents for a book. In fact, E.S.P. will develop the site structure and navigational menus for your website starting from the content outline. Here is how it goes:

  • We will work with you to review the content outline and develop the most effective organizational and navigational structure for the site;
  • The structure will be clear and logical, based on simple principles of orientation.
  • The ideal structure will allow users to know exactly where they are in the site at all times.

Graphic Design

Once the site structure has been determined and approved by the decision makers in your organization, graphic design will begin.

The graphic design scheme will present a uniform look across all areas of your website. All design elements such as colors, your logo, etc. would conform to any existing graphic standards or requirements you may have. The final design scheme for the site will be striking, clean and highly intuitive. We will present to you two distinct design schemes for your review, and will proceed by implementing the approved selections throughout the site. This will be a continuous review process that will require effective and prompt communications. Once the site is completed, final revisions of the design scheme should only involve minor changes that did not emerge during development.

We aim for a clean, clear and elegant design that is consistent throughout the site. We will consult with you regarding color preferences and any other specific design elements (i.e. company logo, etc.) that should be included in the composition.

Programming Functionality

E.S.P. will design the functionality of your website according to your needs and specifications. Our programming will enable functional features necessary to offer the user an enjoyable browsing and shopping experience, and allow you to capture as much information as possible from visitors.
